This fly is one of the original spey flies from the river Spey in Scotland. It was originally developed for Atlantic Salmon but west coast and great lakes steelhead fisherman have adopted it for their own use. Hook: Low water salmon hook Rib: Flat silver tinsel, flat gold tinsel, oval silver tinsel as a counter rib over the hackle. Body: Purple wool. Body hackle: Black spey cock hackle.
