I actually just got a hold of the fly tiers bench side reference and if I remember correctly there are 8 different methods ha.

great idea riley, I use the same technique as Charlie oakorchardflies.proboards.com/thread/684/extended-body-yellow-drake-step **only without the mono And trimming all but 3 or 4 hairs extended for the tail. So you use hair with the tips as long as you want the tails to be and trim back the rest You can do 2 color bodies holding the colors on top and bottom and use different color hair for the tails (tricky trimming but cool) If you coat the hair, after the spiral thread wrap to segment, with flexcement/clear cure goop, it's pretty solid. You will loose the tails before the body comes apart
