We may have been a bit premature on the whole warm water thing for this year but we will be fishing for something! Could be Steelhead, could be Smallmouth's but one way or another we will have a great time. We will have some demos and cookout mid day surrounded by fishing for both days. If the creek is in good shape there will be fishing right at the cabins. If not we will do excursions to other locations. There is lodging available for a limited number of people at a very reasonable rate. If anyone is interested, it's a first come first served system so speak up soon if you're going to stay over. You can message me here or call the shop for details or to claim a bed. This event is not designed to be a "sit at the feet of the masters" type thing. We plan on fishing hard and taking whoever with us. Be prepared to fish, learn and experience. We are all equal in our passion to fish and that's the whole idea, giving less experienced anglers a chance to fish with more experienced ones. Try some new gear, fish some new water and have a good time on equal ground. My guess is that both groups will learn a lot. Rain or Shine and whatever the conditions bring. Starting Saturday, May 10 at about Noon for Cookout and Demos. Fish wherever you want Saturday morning then meet up at the cabins around noon. Limited overnight accommodations (not free) are available but filling in fast so PM me if you want a spot. Everything else is free and open to all Fly Fisherpeople. Here's a collection of random photos from Saturday. It was a great time with some great folks. Thank you to ll who came out and made it a lot of fun. We could have used a few more bass around but with this years weather we were happy to not have to wear parkas. Special thanks to Sahlen's Meats and Southern Tier Brewing for their awesome donations. Special thanks as well to Cattaraugus Creek Outfitters for the use of the cabins, perfect spot for this type of event. Support the folks who support us! Thanks again and see you all next year. here's some photos www.flickr.com/photos/106146333@N02/sets/72157644241701188/or if you're on the facebook www.facebook.com/events/651067488300279/?ref=22

wish I could have been there! Looks like a great time. Guiding, my daughter's softball game, one boy's 2 baseball games and my other sons hockey game all in one day kind of got in the way! hopefully next year. . . .

someone left a canoe at the cabins. Anyone know who owns it?
Also, I returned an etching tool to the shop. Gave it to emmanuel
There is also a big bag of cool aid that was left behind. Anyone lay claim to it?

What a great time. Thanks to Nick and Justin for setting this event up. It's always fun to have this rag-tag group of miscreants together in one place. Man was there quite a few laughs!! Thanks again and I hope to fish with all of you once or twice this year.
