I think they need contrasting poky-dots too... Jeeze, Bill, those will attract some attention What's the little anti-tail-fouling loop made out of?

It is fly tying tube tied into the hook but, it's not for anti foul, rather it's part of the fly design to achieve a walk the dog action. The fly dressing, non foam part is tied on a tube which presses into the foam head and can be changed out for various colors which is nice if one is using a bite guard (change colors with out re-tying) I fished them last night and they do "walk the dog well". They also cast well with just an 8 wt and shooting head system. But…………. last evening I rose 5-6 fish and NONE hooked up. I believe they were all hitting short to mid. This is a large fly as far as top water goes. A trailer may be needed. By comparison I fished a Pop's Banger 3/0 (fly above is also a 3/0 btw) but, it's not as long and I caught a couple really nice, large , LM Bass. Last evening I believe they were Bass with the exception of one small Musky I Luv fishing top water/warm water though either way………it's very addicting and very hard for me to cast anything subsurface for warm water anything once the water hits 60……………….over time it seems I have went larger and larger flys ----- from size 4 gurglers to these now………..it's amazing what the big largemouth's will take…………….smallmouth cut off top water at smaller sizes………..I have caught a good number of Northern's top water………..even swing's rivers for river smallies now till fall with my switch spey casting I can no longer fish anything but a gurgler it seems. My fav's in no order are > Gurglers, Bangers, D. Divers and now these Pole Dancers/Dodgers,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,by the name's a real Slut Fest ………LOL I will post another picture of the tube portion. Take care

Steve, this fly tied on a tube > pushes into the foam head which has a female receiver tube. Looks complicated but they actually tie real fast once you get it…………I spend more time mess in with paint on the head, coatings etc. then tieing………maybe a 20 min tie ?? BTW- the tubing was standard clear I just hit it with a red sharpie for obvious reason's Take care wild man
