Justin Damude is running a booth for the shop and general Fly Fishing stuff at the Niagara Outdoors show and could use some extra help. Basically a few people to man the booth, tie a few flies or just hang and talk to folks about fly fishing. Audio/Visual additions are also welcome.
if interested please PM Justin and he can fill you in on the rest.
Thank You!

That is very cool, I went last year for the first time it was pretty fun. Had a few beers checked out the booths met some interesting people, it was enjoyable for sure. Though I do not recall seeing too much of a fly fishing presence so it great you guys will be there(if you were in the past I apologize ) I'ld volunteer but no needs to see someone tying sloppy wolly bugger and breaking thread every 15 seconds lol.

From what I tie, fish don't seem to care what the flies look like. Working a show is a pretty neat thing in itself. You might want to give it a try, Sean.

It sounds pretty cool I may be a bit out of my league though. What do you do through out the show? You tell people about the shop explain fly fishing in general explain flies?? Will the shop be selling anything?

Sean...I won't be working this show for OOFS but will be working the LOTSA booth on Sunday. I've also worked the booths at the Sports & Outdoor Show at the Ag Center for the Niagara Musky Association and a charitable organization at the County Fair. What I've found is that most attendees just walk by while looking at what there is on display. If they're interested, they'll stop & ask questions. At last year's Ag Center show for the NMA, I was tying musky flies. Had a lot of people stop by who were just curious, asked a few club & musky questions, with the result being that a few of them signed on into the club
Three things I really enjoyed about doing a booth is meeting people who you know (or don't know you know) & chatting about whatever you're doing. I imagine there will be some OOFS customers going thru who you only know by on-line name but have never met them in-person. That's always cool. The other thing is working the booth with someone else & then you two take turns walking thru the show while the other does the table during the slow periods. And lastly, being paired up with someone you don't know, having to work closely together for two or three hrs, & then leaving as fishing friends because of what you have in common.
Maybe I'll see you there...JJ
