I'm going to be purchasing a spey rod for this season and I was wondering if I could get some recommendations about length and weight and lines and etc. Thanks in advance

I'd say to just stop by the shop and talk to Nick about it. You'll be able to wiggle the rods around and ask all the questions you need in person.

I second Tony's advice, see Nick in the shop. What will determine your purchase will largely depend on where you fish. Locally, I find it very easy to fish with an 11 foot switch rod and shooting head system. I can usually even make due, on our biggest streams. Just my two cents.

I think the echo TR 1307 is a very versatile spey rod and is very reasonably pciced (assuming you don't want to drop a ton on your first one). I fish it with a 510 grain skagit head but assume it would throw a scandi great as well. It is the kind of rod that you can fish anywhere and do fine with.
IF you were only going to fish around wny then maybe go shorter. I have an 11 foot beaulah platinum that I like for western ny but found it a bit shorter than ideal for fishing out west. I fish a rage compact 390 on that one.
