The top one has been fished succesfully the past few years and the bottom one is a slight variation of the one above. Tied on a size 2 Blue Heron Hook.

Awesome Frank! I notice a lot of body color, in the flys of S.R. veterans, like Wylie/Vern, veiled by dark, And you got some blue in there. Is it that blue really show up well in that dark water?

The steelhead in the salmon river seem to like blues and purples as well as colors. Not sure if it shows up well, but I sure know it works. Lots of people fish blue beads, blue estaz eggs, blue stones etc...
