This fly is the invention of the late Austin Hazelwood, of Marysville, New Brunswick. The fly was tied in his basement workshop in the late 1970’s for Peter Farago who was going to fish the Nashwaak River. Since then it has proved itself as a good bright day fly on many other rivers. Hook: Small up eye double or treble salmon hook. Tag: Flat silver tinsel and fluorescent green floss. Tail: Golden Pheasant crest. Rib: Oval silver tinsel. Body: Back ½ Flat silver tinsel, front ½ green seal type dubbing. Wing: Golden pheasant tippet with gray fox over. Collar: Soft yellow. Head: Black
