This fly was invented by Lane Carpenter, a former professional trout-fly tier while she lived and fished in Nova Scotia in the summer months. It was made to be a cross between two other popular patterns, the Mickey Finn and the Silver Doctor. It is a simple pattern that works well on most of the rivers of Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia.
