The Originator of this fly, Tim Coleman of Linwood, Washington, created it in 1986. This is actually one of a series of flies he came up with. I was unable to find any of the other patterns in the series that he came up with. It is supposed to be effective on summer fish that are holed up in the fall. Hook: Up eye salmon hook. Tag: Oval gold tinsel. Rib: Oval gold tinsel. Body: Claret floss. Wing: Red Squirrel tail. Hackle: Woodduck flank under shorter claret guinea fowl. Head: Claret.
