Thank again Brent, great patterns. Also a great technique on tying in split tail fribbets, can't wait to use that one.

Many thanks for the kind comments about my demo. As always, I enjoyed the opportunity to come and share some of the techniques that I have been working with over the years. Sharing ideas is one of the best facets of the tying trade, I think. Since I have benefited from others it seems only right to continue the tradition. For some of you old-timers I will provide a bit of information about me genesis as a tier. Back in the mid sixties I was taken under the wing of an East Aurora local named Ward Navelle who taught me the basics and some advanced techniques. Granted, I was only 11 years old, but his influence has stayed with me over the decades. I owe a lot to him. Thanks again for the opportunity. Feel free to ask questions in follow up.

Mark...fantastic demo this afternoon. Thanks much. What was especially nice was your explaining the hows, whys, who's, & theories of presenting the wets. It made for a good mix of info that brought everything together so it made sense. Off to the side, I was admiring your donation. That was very generous of you & certainly keeps up with the spirit of good sportsmanship that makes fishing, especially fly fishing, so enjoyable. Thanks again for making it an enjoyable afternoon..jj

Hi all, I really enjoyed being at the shop and meeting all those that attended. It is a great privilege for me to be invited to share information and techniques for tying and fly fishing. I hope that I've stimulated some who were there to look more closely at the all the various aspects of wet flies. There are many, and that's why they work so well. Again, it is my good fortune to be able to come to the shop, and if I can assist anyone further, please feel free to contact me.

nick..well, 1st things 1st with the family, but you did miss a very informative demo. So......is the shop going to begin selling dubbing hair from the scrotums of sheep? There was quite a discussion of that (and a lot of jokes), but at about that time I was also eyeballing the box of donut holes on the table. They looked vaguely like Rocky Mountain Oysters & I lost my appetite. Great time though &, most importantly, a lot of fun!!!..Thanks, as always, for lining up some good tyers...jj

Verno- what's the final verdict for your lineup tomorrow? Either way, I'll see you there.

Gents..if you get a chance, read page 1 of this post. That might answer your question. Verno mentioned what he would try to go over. For me, I'm especially interested in the Fish Skulls. I plan on getting some " 'eyes on the fly" this year (walleye on a fly rod). Near shore, I've had the best luck in 18' - 20' of H2O. That's the kind of fishing I was weaned on. Hopefully, the Skulls are the ticket I'm looking for. I also believe it was Verno who brought in a crock pot of homemade venison sausage chili last year. If it wasn't him, I'll be a little disappointed, but not in the presentation. He gave a real good demo last year. I've been waiting since last year, though, to have another couple of bowls of the chili!. Man, that chili was to die for!!!!!..jj
