verno...Thanks much for another great demo & another great pot of chili, even though you never answered what kind of meat it was (ha!). Whatever it was, it was good enough for a couple of helpings. (just stay away from heart. I'm not ready for that, yet) The "scissors tip" was also good. it seems like every year you come up with something new to help us out..and those articulated flies were something else. Something else for the arsenal. Will have to try them out. good luck in your tying...jj

Vern,
Great demo and fantastic chili. Thanks for the sampler pack, I never thought my knowledge of Class C Highschool football would have payed off.

Thanks for all the support! Here is a link for the step by step instructions on how to tie a sculpin helmet on a tube. I'm still working on getting the text done s68.photobucket.com/albums/i6/VERN-O/Hagrids%20Dragon%20SBS/?albumview=slideshowTo whom ever suggested that the rotarty tension on my vise kept coming loose because it was left handed was close....I took that puppy apart and was able to get everything turned around so the tension knob is now on the far side....that's what I like about these demos....the information flows both ways!!!!

as if that weren't enough, i give you both pie and punch with the addition of Steve Wascher for the 2-25-12 demo. Steve is one of the best around his free demo is not to be missed. he will be doing either Musky flies or deer hair stuff. i will update when he decides.

i'm very sorry to announce that Steve Wascher will NOT be doing a tying demo today. Steve lives down near Jamestown and the lake effect snow and winds are making the trip too damn risky to do. the last thing i would ever want is anyone getting in an accident over doing a demo for us. i hope you all can understand. i do have a back up plan and it's no let down in my opinion. Charlie Dickson agreed to take up the reigns and do a demo on deer hair work. as most of you know he's about as talented at it as anyone anywhere and we are lucky to have him. some of Charlie's recent work
