Yesterday we lost a dear friend, Dave Guest. Dave was battling PLS. We will remember Dave as a good friend, and a great guide and fisherman. We will never forget you Dave!

RIP Dave, to me he was a great friend that taught me a lot about steelhead fishing. We met about ten years ago through the Sanders forums and after debating topics on several threads we decided to meet up for a day of fishing. I met him on the Catt about an hour before light and after exchanging pleasantries in dark we proceeded to have a banner day of fishing and really hit it off. We fished together often through the years and it was very sad to watch his disease progress, though he fought long and hard, his suffering is now over. I will miss his sense of humor, his warmth, his angling prowess, but most of all I will miss his company on the river, though I'm sure at some point we will wade the same waters again. Good bye my friend, for now. Nick and others interested - I made some calls and found out that unfortunately, there will be no services for Dave.

Wow that sucks. I had the pleasure of knowing Dave and I saw first hand his struggles with the easy daily tasks we all take for granted. Thank god he has to suffer no longer and we all know that he is in a better place where all the fish are crome!!!

I never met Dave, but after reading the responses here, it is very apparent that he was one of the "good guys" on and off the river. May peace be with his friends and family.

I only know "of Dave." The previous posts sum it up quite eloquently. RIP

Shared many great stories with Dave when I worked at the shop. Dave was an amazing guy in all aspects of his life, not just with fishing. It's bitter sweet hearing something like this, his fight has taken him to better places, and he will never be forgotten for the person he was. Thoughts and prayers with you and your family Dave.
