I heard that they will be done in two weeks (let us pray). I heard they were moving it upstream to just below Gowanda. In other words: they will be fucking up even more of the river.

Any word on if they did move the mining op upstream of the reservation? They did move out of the res but left it in a totally different state than it was before. Looks crazy down there compared to last fall, they literally changed the course of that river like I couldn't believe, I really hope they're not going to gowanda next

Gravel hauling operations started yesterday at the Indian Hill section of the creek. Clearing the north side 1/2 mile below Aldrich street bridge.

I've decided to never set foot on the Rez again, for various reasons, but I'm curious, are they still up to their mining shenanigans??

Was at new gravel pit area yesterday (old cabbage patch). A lot of activity, large machines playing around with the wood bridge, moving parts around, creating a lot of mess downstream, a lot of wood coming down, including parts of trees, I'm guessing that were freed from removing parts of the bridge. The Rez Marshall asked me for license and then asked if the work was bothering us, between a lot of rain and the work, water clarity went down to very poor, despite turbitity graph (I know it's up in Gowanda). I would have to say that while they're doing this fishing downstream for quite a distance will be a bust. River was really starting to roar along anyway.
